--------------------------------- Transcript of the Audio Recording --------------------------------- COURT: We have heard in evidence from your father who has displayed great patience and love for you about the tragic events of the day your mother was killed. As Mr Polson, your counsel, has indicated, this attention deficit and hyperactive disorder did affect your school work and caused you to leave school because you were unable to get along. Because of that, by staying at home and unable to hold down a job, the situation deteriorated between your mother and yourself. Those are tragic circumstances, but I have no doubt, having listened to your father’s evidence that he and your mother were trying to make a good family home for you when you were growing up. It is tragic that it has come down to this. There is only one sentence in law that I can impose on you for the offence of murder: I sentence you to life imprisonment. |
