1. The applicant faced 25 charges, 23 were charges of obtaining property by deception and 2 were of evasion of liability by deception. He pleaded not guilty and was found guilty on all charges after trial before Judge Candy. He was sentenced to imprisonment for 4 1/2 years. He now seeks leave to appeal both against the convictions and the sentences.
