1. This is a running down action in which the Plaintiff, who was then aged 11, was hit by a medium lorry owned and driven by the Defendant as he was crossing Pei Ho Street, North Kowloon, at just after midday on 7 November 1998. As a result, he sustained very serious injuries to his left leg to which I will need to make further reference presently.
