1. In November 2007, Mr Hashimi, acting on his own, without the assistance of solicitors, sought by judicial review proceedings, certiorari quashing a decision of the Director of Immigration that he should be detained pending his removal from Hong Kong. Mr Hashimi also sought a writ of habeas corpus , to achieve his release from immigration detention, pursuant to s 32(3A), Immigration Ordinance, (the Ordinance).
