Offence: Trafficking in a dangerous drug (販運危險藥物) Transcript of the Audio Recording COURT: Accused, you stand convicted of one charge of trafficking in a dangerous drug. You have pleaded guilty at the Magistrates' Court and you have been committed to be sentenced before me today in the High Court. The quantity of drugs involved is 1,000.04 grammes of powder containing 824.42 grammes of ketamine. In my view, the appropriate starting point for that quantity of drugs is about 13½ years' imprisonment. You are 32 years old, and you have been in trouble before. Having taken into account everything that has been urged on your behalf by your counsel, particularly your plea of guilty and your cooperation with the police by providing them with information, I am prepared to give you the full one-third discount in this case. You are therefore sentenced to 9 years' imprisonment. |
