CACC000706/1968 IN THE SUPREME COURT OF HONG KONG APPELLATE JURISDICTION CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. 706 OF 1968 -----------------
Coram: Huggins, J. Date of Judgment: 13 December 1968 ----------------- JUDGMENT ----------------- Huggins, J: 1. The appellant and another man were charged with robbery with aggravation. The appellant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment. He appeals against that sentence. 2. The facts are that at 8.50 in the evening of 21st October these two persons pushed a man into a staircase, made some allegation of an assault by him on the relative of one of them and then removed his wrist watch. The appellant has been before the court on five previous occasions, in each case on charges of dishonesty or loitering for dishonest purposes. This is a prevalent offence and in my view the sentence imposed was a proper one. 3. The appeal is dismissed. 13th December, 1968. Representation: Appellant in person Mr. Duckett for the Respondent |
