COURT:  Hii Lu-chueng, I have given careful consideration to everything said on your behalf.

Charged with trafficking, you have tendered a plea to simple possession, and this plea has been accepted and the charge has been amended to simple possession under the amended charge.

The dangerous drugs involved are 13.27 grammes of a crystalline solid containing 13.06 grammes of methamphetamine hydrochloride.

I have now been told that you were unemployed at the time, and I have also given consideration to the amount of drugs involved.

All things considered, I adopt a starting point of 18 months and enhance it by 9 months to take into account the latent risk factor.

The only real mitigation available to you is your plea of guilty, for which I give you the full one-third discount.

I therefore sentence you to 18 months’ imprisonment.
