COURT: Ng Man-wai, you stand convicted of one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug.
The quantity of drugs involved is 495.48 grammes of a powder containing 391.31 grammes of ketamine.
For that quantity of drugs, I consider a starting point of 10 years to be appropriate.
I have taken into account everything urged in mitigation on your behalf, particularly your plea of guilty and your co‑operation with the police, and I shall give you a discount which is slightly more than a third, reducing the starting point to one of 6½ years’ imprisonment.
You are therefore sentenced to 6½ years’ imprisonment.
