COURT: Yue Kwok-wa, you stand convicted on your own plea of guilty of one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug.
The quantity of drugs involved is 505 grammes of a powder containing 336.67 grammes of ketamine. For that quantity of drugs, I take a starting point of 9 years’ imprisonment.
I have taken into account everything ably urged on your behalf in mitigation by your counsel, including your plea of guilty, your clear record and your co-operation with the police, for which I shall give you the full one-third discount, thus reducing the starting point to one of 6 years’ imprisonment.
You are therefore sentenced to 6 years’ imprisonment.
