COURT: Accused, you stand convicted on your own plea of guilty of one charge of trafficking in a dangerous drug.
The drugs involved are 99.58 grammes of a crystalline solid containing 94.54 grammes of methamphetamine hydrochloride.
For that amount of drugs the appropriate starting point would be in the region of 11 years, as suggested by your counsel.
I have considered everything urged on your behalf. There is really no mitigation apart from your plea of guilty for which I am prepared to give you the full one-third discount.
You are therefore sentenced to 7 years and 4 months’imprisonment.
