In this action, the plaintiff Lau Shing Wan (“Lau”) claims against the defendant Univan Ship Management Ltd (“USM”) for damages for personal injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with USM. USM applied by summons dated 26October 2011 (“the Summons”) to set aside the Amended Writ of Summons and/or strike out the Statement of Claim.
