COURT: The accused, please stand up. I have considered everything said on your behalf. You are of previous good character. In a case like this that does not warrant a specific discount of sentence but I will bear it in mind when deciding what is the least sentence I can pass on you consistently with the circumstances of this case and the guidelines and principles which apply.

Leaving aside the enhancement appropriate to the fact that these drugs were imported to Hong Kong I arrive at a term of 21 years. To that I add 1 year by way of enhancement.

You are therefore sentenced to 22 years’ imprisonment.
