COURT: The jury have found you guilty of the offence of murder. The evidence clearly showed that you had made a savage attack on the deceased; all the blows were aimed at her head. She must have suffered a very painful death. You have, by your violent action, taken away a good mother from her sons and daughters. It is not entirely clear why you had to do that to her, especially when she had been helping you financially and in other ways.

I do not know whether you feel remorse or otherwise, but having been convicted of murder, I have no other alternative but to sentence you to the sentence prescribed by law.

The sentence for this offence shall be life imprisonment.
