COURT: Cheung Man‑yiu, you stand convicted on your own plea of guilty, to one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug. I have taken into account everything urged on your behalf. The quantity of drugs involved is 1.50 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 1.18 kilogrammes of ketamine.
All things considered and in dealing with you as leniently as I can, I adopt a starting point at the lowest end of the tariff of 14 years’ imprisonment. Having taken into account everything urged in mitigation on your behalf including your plea of guilty, I shall give you the full one-third discount, thereby reducing the starting point to one of 9 years and 4 months.
You are therefore sentenced to 9 years and 4 months’ imprisonment.
