COURT: Li Wing-kei, I have taken into account everything urged on your behalf.

You stand convicted of one charge of trafficking in a dangerous drug.

You have pleaded guilty in the Magistrates’ Court and you have been committed to this court for sentence today.

The quantity of drugs involved is 27.49 grammes of a crystalline solid containing 26.02 grammes of methamphetaminehydrochloride.

All things considered, I consider a starting point of 7½ years should be appropriate.

Having taken into account everything urged on your behalfincluding your plea of guilty, I shall give you the full one-third discount thereby reducing the sentence to one of 5 years’ imprisonment.

You are therefore sentenced to 5 years’ imprisonment.
