From time to time, parties to litigation agree to compromise and, depending on the terms of the compromise agreement, legal proceedings could be held in abeyance pending the performance of the obligations under the agreement. Like other contracts, there could be disputes arising from the interpretation or performance of the terms of a compromise agreement.
