COURT: The jury by its verdict has found you guilty of the murder of Liu Wing-sang. It has accepted that you carried out a planned and deliberate attack on Liu Wing-sang.

There appears to have been an ongoing feud between the two of you and the prosecution were correct to describe this killing as a revenge attack. It was a cowardly and vicious attack with you endlessly pursuing Liu Wing-sang with a knife stabbing him 27 times. Whilst most of stab and cut wounds were flesh wounds, two stab wounds were plunged into Liu Wing-sang’s chest one of which was a fatal blow to the heart.

At about 10.30 pm on 23 May 2014, you went to the banyan tree area of Mun Hau Chung. Armed with a knife where you lay in wait for Liu Wing-sang as he went about his nightly routine to go to check his garage at Sheung Shui. You attacked him near the banyan tree stabbing him with the knife. There was a trail of blood and discarded items belonging to Liu Wing-sang as he ran for his life but succumbing to the relentless barrage of stab wounds outside the Ngau Kee Store where he fell to the ground. You got on top of him stabbing him with the knife.

Liu Wing-sang managed to get into the store being hotly pursued by you but, again, he fell to the floor of the store, face up. You pressed down with your body on top of his, placing your left forearm vertically across his neck and you thrusted two blows into his chest. At this point you said “Big fun, big fun”.

Liu Wing-sang died almost immediately by a fatal stab wound to the heart.

Accordingly, as required by law you are sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Liu Wing-sang.
