__________________ J U D G M E N T __________________ Hon Poon JA (giving the Judgment of the Court) : 1.By a judgment dated 26 March 2018, the Court of Appeal (Lam VP and Poon JA) dismissed the applicant’s appeal against the decision of Deputy High Court Judge Woodcock dated 4 December 2017 refusing to grant leave to him to apply for judicial review. The applicant now seeks leave to appeal to the Court of Final Appeal. 2.We have duly considered the applicant’s notice of motion dated 6 April 2018 and his written submissions. In substance, he reiterated his assertion that he could not go back to Pakistan because of the alleged danger to his personal safety by relying on the same matters that he had previously raised. 3.In our view, the applicant has failed to meet the threshold under section 22(b) of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal Ordinance, Cap 484, entitling him to be granted leave to appeal to the Court of Final Appeal. We accordingly refuse his application and dismiss his notice of motion.
