The originating summons in this case was adjourned by Chung J on 26 July 2019 with the direction that there be leave to the plaintiff to pay into court within 14 days the sum of $7,080, being a sum sufficient to redeem the mortgage in favour of Tang Chui-tai as shown in the instrument dated 7 January 1907, known as “Judgment of Court” registered in the Land Registry against the subject land.

_____________ D E C I S I O N _____________ 1.The originating summons in this case was adjourned by Chung J on 26 July 2019 with the direction that there be leave to the plaintiff to pay into court within 14 days the sum of $7,080, being a sum sufficient to redeem the mortgage in favour of Tang Chui-tai as shown in the instrument dated 7 January 1907, known as “Judgment of Court” registered in the Land Registry against the subject land. 2.The plaintiff has since paid the amount of $7,080 into court on 7 August 2019 pursuant to Chung J’s order. Upon that payment, the mortgage as held by the 2nd defendant as mortgagee registered by Memorial No YL3226 in respect of the Remaining Portion of Section C of Lot No 3225 in Demarcation District No 104 is hereby wholly discharged.
