With leave granted by the Single Judge on 23 July 2021, [1] the appellant appeals against her conviction on a single count of trafficking in a dangerous drug, namely 1,990 grammes of a solid [2] containing 1,617 grammes of cocaine, contrary to section 4(1)(a) and (3) of the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Cap 134, following her trial before Deputy High Court Judge Woodcock (the Judge) and a jury on 12 October 2018. The Judge sentenced the appellant to 23 years and 5 months’ imprisonment.
