On 29 November 2018, the appellant was convicted after trial before Deputy High Court Judge Lugar‑Mawson (“the judge”) and a jury of a single count of trafficking in a dangerous drug, contrary to section 4(1)(a) and (3) of the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Cap 134. He was sentenced to 26 years’ imprisonment.
