This is the defendant’s summons (the “defendant’s summons”) filed on 3 April 2024 pursuant to Order 12 rule 8 of the Rules of the District Court (Cap 336H) for a permanent stay of the proceedings on the ground that the Court should not exercise jurisdiction over the defendant in respect of the subject matter of the present proceedings in favour of the Ordinary Courts of the Republic of Korea (commonly known as South Korea).
