1.On 15 January 2025, this Court (Kwan VP and Cheung JA) handed down the decision ([2025] HKCA 76) ordering that the respondent is to have costs of its application for security for cost to be summarily assessed. The appellant has filed his list of objections by the stipulated deadline.

2.The respondent claimed a total sum of $48,567 which represents solicitors’ costs and disbursements.

3.Taking a broad brush approach, we assess the respondent’s costs at $46,000.
