1. The Applicant is a 52-year-old national of Nigeria who arrived in Hong Kong on 17 August 2005 as a visitor with permission to remain as such up to 6 September 2005 when he did not depart and instead overstayed, and was arrested by police some 2 ½ years later on 1 April 2008.
