1. The Applicant is a 30-year-old national of India who entered Hong Kong illegally on 23 December 2023 and was arrested by police on some 4 months later on 25 April 2024. After he was referred to the Immigration Department for investigation, he raised a non-refoulement claim for protection on the basis that if he returned to India he would be harmed or killed by his paternal uncle over their land dispute in his home village.
