Please note the following corrigendum for the Judgment dated 7 January 2026: -

1.Page 9, paragraph 25, line F to H: “Since the plaintiff’s pleaded case is that his possession commenced in 1984, section 38A is not relied upon. The relevant limitation period in the present case is therefore 12 years.” should read as “The plaintiff’s pleaded case is that his possession commenced in 1984, but section 38A is not replied upon in counsel’s submissions.  The relevant limitation period in the present case is in my view 20 years.”; and

2.Page 9, paragraph 27(1), line S to T: “… by virtue of section 7(2)  of the Limitation Ordinance, Cap 347;” should read as “… by virtue of section 7(2)  and section 38A of the Limitation Ordinance, Cap 347;”.
