The Appeal Committee:

1.We are satisfied that it is reasonably arguable that there has been substantial and grave injustice on the following grounds, namely:

(a)     That there was a failure properly to consider whether the mental element of the offences charged had been proved beyond reasonable doubt; and/or

(b)     That the judge wrongly refused to admit new evidence as to the defendant's medical condition.

The appeal will be listed to be heard on 4 November 2026.
