1. This case is similar - in terms of the offence for which the appellant was convicted - to Criminal Appeal No. 224 of 1971 where on appeal I reduced a sentence of 9 months imprisonment to 4 months. In each case the offence was 'going equipped for stealing' contrary to the Theft ordinance. The sentence in this case also was 9 months imprisonment, a sentence which I upheld on appeal because of differing circumstances.
