1. The appellant pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary and was sentenced to 9 months imprisonment. On appeal I reduced the sentence to 4 months imprisonment. He has a record of convictions on 37 occasions, but 33 of them are for either smoking or possessing opium. A further 2 are for larcenies in 1967, and the remaining 2 are for larcenies in 1969. Judging by the sentences imposed all 4 larcenies were petty offences.
