1. These two originating summonses were respectively taken out by Nanus Asia Company Inc. and Southridge International Inc. ("the plaintiffs") against the Standard Chartered Bank ("the Bank"). In summary they seek declarations that certain restraining orders made by the Southern District Court of New York on 27th June 1988 and thereafter are of no effect whatsoever in Hong Kong.
