1.This is a petition for the winding up of Ka Shing Electric Manufacturing Co. Limited. The petition shows that in April 2001, a judgment debt in the sum of over $584,000.00 was entered against the Company. The following month, in May 2001, a statutory demand was served which was not satisfied and two months later, in July 2001, the petition was presented to the Court. There has been no affidavit filed on behalf of the Company opposing the petition.

2.At the hearing before the Master on 26 September 2001, solicitors appearing for the Company indicated that the Company was opposing the petition and there was a proposal to settle the judgment debt by way of instalments which apparently was not accepted by the Petitioner.

3.In any event today, no one has appeared to represent the Company and accordingly, I would make the usual winding-up order, there being no other creditors appearing.
