1. On 11th June 1998, following a trial before Yeung J. and a jury, the Appellant was convicted of conspiracy to accept advantages, contrary to section 9(1)(c) of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance, Cap. 201 and Common Law. The particulars of the offence read that the Appellant:
