1. The respondent was found guilty of twenty-five charges of obtaining property by deception. In a matter of some two weeks he bought poultry worth over $88,000 from various poultry farmers in the New Territories and it was proved that at the time he made such purchases he had no intention to pay. The magistrate sentenced the respondent to nine months' imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent but suspended for two years.
