CACC000611/1994 No.611 of 1994 IN THE COURT OF APPEAL
---------------------- Coram: Bokhary, J.A. and Bewley, J, in Court Date of hearing: 9 January 1996 Date of judgment: 9 January 1996 ------------------- J U D G M E N T --------------------- Bewley, J.: (giving the judgment of the Court) 1. The applicant was convicted in October, 1994, of six offences of handling. He was sentenced to a total of three years' imprisonment by Judge Chua. His application in respect of conviction was dismissed on 23rd June, 1995. 2. On 25th July he applied for leave to appeal against sentence out of time. His grounds for doing so relate mainly to his conviction, but he said a witness in Macau was not called to show that his culpability was less. 3. A large quantity of jewellery, watches and other valuable items were missing. The applicant has three recorded previous convictions of theft. There is no merit in this application, which is refused.
