(APPELLATE JURISDICTION)

CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. 667 OF 1968

-----------------

BETWEEN
YU MING Appellant
AND
THE QUEEN Respondent

Coram: Huggins, J.

Date of Judgment: 26 November 1968

JUDGMENT

-----------------

Huggins, J:

1. The appellant was sentenced to 9 months' imprisonment for larceny from the person. He had five previous convictions for similar offences and the only reason he has been able to advance before me for reducing the sentence is that he says he was not told at the time of his arrest why he was being arrested. I do not believe him but even if it were true it would be no good reason for reducing this sentence.

2. The appeal is dismissed.

26th November, 1968.
