of the Sentence in the above case

COURT:  Accused, you stand convicted of one charge of trafficking in a dangerous drug.  It is to your credit that you stand so convicted on your own plea of guilty at the Magistrates Court.

The quantity involved is 255.56 grammes of a powder containing 171.04 grammes of ketamine.  In my view, the appropriate starting point for that quantity of ketamine is, as suggested by your counsel, about 7½ years.

I have taken into account everything that has been urged on your behalf by your counsel, particularly your plea of guilty at an early stage.  I have also read the letter that you have written to the court.

In all the circumstances, I sentence you to 5 years' imprisonment.
