COURT:  Tio Tin-yee, you stand convicted of one count of trafficking in Ice.  It is to your credit that you stand so convicted on your own plea of guilty.  The quantity of drugs involved is 248.92 grammes of crystalline solid containing 246.25 grammes of methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as Ice.

The appropriate starting point for that quantity of drug is about 13½ years.

I have taken into account everything urged in mitigation on your behalf by your counsel, particularly your plea of guilty at the earliest opportunity at the Magistrates’ Court.  Furthermore, there are special circumstances on the papers which justified a lenient view being taken of the facts.

In all the circumstances, I sentence you to 6½ years’ imprisonment.  You are therefore sentenced to 6½ years’ imprisonment.
