COURT: Tang Tak-hong, you stand convicted of one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug on your own plea of guilty.

The quantity of drugs involved is 1,996.04 grammes of a powder containing 873.87 grammes of ketamine.

All things considered, I adopt a starting point of 12½ years’ imprisonment. I have considered everything that has been urged in mitigation on your behalf. There is really no real mitigation apart from your plea of guilty, for which I shall give you the full one‑third discount.

You are therefore sentenced to 8 years and 4 months’ imprisonment.
