COURT: Law Kwok-leong, you stand convicted of one charge of trafficking in dangerous drugs. The quantity of drugs involved is 126.52 grammes of a solid containing 106.53 grammes of cocaine and 0.52 grammes of a powder containing 0.42 grammes of ketamine.
For that quantity of drugs, I take a starting point of 9½ years’ imprisonment. I have taken into account everything that has been urged on your behalf including in particular your plea of guilty, your co-operation with the police and your clear record, and I give you the full one-third discount, thus reducing the sentence to one of 6 years and 4 months’ imprisonment from the starting point of 9½ years’ imprisonment.
You are therefore sentenced to 6 years and 4 months.
