I have been told by your counsel that he has explained the contents of the probation report to you. He has also informed me that you are willing to be put on probation.
There are special conditions set out in the probation officer’s report if I were to make a probation order, and I have to explain to you that should you fail to comply with any of those conditions or if you breach any of the conditions of the probation order that I make you will be liable to be sentenced for the original offence.
Also, should you commit any further offence while you are on probation you will also be liable to be sentenced for the original offence.
Mr Stirling has informed me that he will further explain the full effect of the probation order to you.
I will put you on probation for 2 years and with the special conditions recommended which are as follows:
(1) You shall receive psychiatric and/or psychological treatments as and when directed by the probation officer.
(2) You will abstain from all kinds of dangerous drugs.
(3) You will submit urine specimen for tests as and when directed by the probation officer.
(4) You will receive drug withdrawal treatment as and when directed by the probation officer.
Accused, in putting you on probation the court’s main objective is to help you work towards a future better than your past has been.
