HKSAR v. Cheung Hok Kin
|
DCCC1365/2011 IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION CRIMINAL CASE NO. 1365 OF 2011 ----------------------
----------------------
-------------------------- Reasons for Sentence -------------------------- 1.Defendant, you pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of arms without a licence, contrary to section 13 of the Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance and admitted the facts. 2.You have a clear record and you are only 22. According to the report, you were only educated up to Form 1 without completing it. You could not stay in a job for very long. Your parents are busy at work trying to make a living and supervision is ineffective and insufficient. (Discussion between Court and counsel re defendant being remanded in Siu Lam) 3.Your working pattern is unstable because you are lazy, and after quitting your job in October 2011, you remained jobless, and you only stayed out with like-minded peers until late at night and visited amusement games centres and cyber café. 4.I bear in mind that the air pistol that you had was not loaded. However, very serious crimes could still be committed without a loaded weapon, for example robbery. 5.I think in all the circumstances a period of disciplinary training would be beneficiary to your rehabilitation. I make a DC order.
