COURT: The accused, I have considered everything urged in mitigation on your behalf.
The drugs involved in this case are 0.23 kilogramme of a powder containing 0.19 kilogramme of ketamine. For that quantity of drug I adopt a starting point of 7½ years. Having considered everything urged on behalf of you including all the letters produced in mitigation by your counsel, I am prepared to give you the full one-third discount for your guilty plea thereby reducing the sentence from one of 7½ years’ imprisonment to 5 years’ imprisonment.
You are therefore sentenced to 5 years’ imprisonment.
