COURT: Chau Kim-lung, I have taken into account everything urged on your behalf. You stand convicted of one charge of trafficking in a dangerous drug. You have pleaded guilty in the Magistrates Court and you have been committed to this court for sentence.
The quantity of drugs involved is 0.24 kilogramme of a solid containing 0.20 kilogramme of ketamine. For that quantity of drugs I adopt a starting point of 7½ years’ imprisonment.
Having taken into account everything that has been urged in mitigation on your behalf, including your plea of guilty, I shall give you the full one-third discount, thereby reducing the sentence to one of 5 years’ imprisonment.
You will therefore go to prison for 5 years.
