I have before me an application for writ of habeas corpus by the Applicant filed on 7 January 2026 seeking his release from Tai Tam Gap Correctional Institution (“TGCI”) where he has been detained since 30 June 2024 (“the Application”). The period of detention to date is 639 days (“the Detention”).
