1. The defendant faces two charges. Charge 1 is for the offence of false imprisonment, contrary to Common Law and punishable under section 101I of the Criminal Procedure Ordinance, Cap. 221. It is alleged that the defendant together with 3 other persons, i.e. NGAI Siu-hin, Wilson (“NGAI”), MAN Ka-ho (“MAN”) and an unknown male (“the wanted person”), committed this offence on 3 September 2021. Charge 2 is for the offence of blackmail, contrary to section 23(1) and (3) of the Theft Ordinance, Cap.
