1. The Sex Discrimination Ordinance, Chapter 480 ('the Ordinance') was enacted in July 1995. The Ordinance renders unlawful certain kinds of sex discrimination, essentially sex discrimination which occurs in what I will call the 'public aspects' of our lives. The Ordinance does not seek to intrude into family life nor, broadly speaking, into the internal communal life of those who choose by reason of ethnic origins , philosophy or religion, to associate according to particular codes of conduct o
