1. This was an appeal from a decision of Saunders J given on 8 March 2007. The matters before the judge were applications by the second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh defendants to strike out the statement of claim under the provisions of Order 18 rule 19(1) of the Rules of the High Court. Those applications were on the grounds that the pleading did not disclose a reasonable cause of action. There was also an application by the plaintiffs to amend the pleadings.
