COURT: You were 18 years and 8 months old at the time of the offence and you are now convicted after trial of murder and one count of acting as a triad member.

That was a cold-blooded triad attack and the evidence shows that you were summoned by people higher up in your hierarchy to chop followers of a rival faction of the same triad society. As a result, the deceased, who was also 18 at that time, died a tragic death after suffering multiple injuries, including cut wounds and blunt force injuries.

Many participants were involved in this “blowing the whistle” incident. A lot of men were organised with transport and with weapons. All these are factors which mark the seriousness of the offence.

For this you are sentenced to life on the 1st count and 9 months’ imprisonment on the 2nd count.
