1. By his summons filed on 6 April 2016, the defendant applied to strike out the plaintiff’s claim pursuant to Order 18 rule 19 of the Rules of District Court (Cap 336H Sub Leg) (“the RDC”) on the ground that (1) it discloses no reasonable cause of action, (2) it is scandalous, frivolous or vexatious and/or otherwise an abuse of the process of the Court (“the defendant’s summons”) [1] .
