1. Following a trial before M Poon J (“the judge”) and a jury, the appellant was convicted by a majority (6:1) of the manslaughter of Mr Wong Yat-ming (“the deceased”), contrary to Common Law and punishable under section 7 of the Offences against the Person Ordinance, Cap 212. On 6 November 2019, he was sentenced to 3 years’ imprisonment.
